History:
An old variety first described in a 1982-1983 catalog of Lawson’s Nursery in Ball Ground, Georgia. According to Jim Lawson this apple probably originated with a Humphrey Tarbutton of northern Georgia sometime in the 1800’s. A very good cooking and drying apple as well as a fine fresh eating variety.
